This is simply lens hacking. The allure is to do it because you can, 
rather than any real desire to produce better photos. I spent a brief 
time collecting (now inexpensive) visoflex gear, bellows etc. for this 
reason. But honestly for the times that I need macro, my Canon Eos 10 
and 100 mm macro work fine.
