Thanks, Peter. I have physically seen and handled the book, and was very
impressed. In fact, I think I am probably going to use it in my course
this coming semester. And yes, I saw the Amazon discount, which is
essential.;-) In fact I was saying something this morning to my wife
about how difficult it is to maintain loyalty to local independent
bookstores when it's possible to get such steep discounts at Amazon -
particularly for books with such high cover prices.

B.D.

go to:

http://www.magnumphotos.com/c/htm/FramerT_MAG.aspx?V=CDocT&E=29YL535APC8
L&DT=ALB

and page through. 565 Magnum photos with explanatory notes from many.
Covers
everything from the foundation of Magnum on - and a few before that
Magnum now
own or have rights for such as Capa, HCB etc - with a few pages of
text/interviews from the various photographers about their way of
working on the
stories.

Buy the book from Amazon if you want to get it. Over here it is
currently about
30% cheaper from Amazon than from the bookstores!

It really is a very interesting book.
