You have probably already figured this out, but in case it was not obvious, the "25-1" marking means that, at that setting, the shutter control is transferred to the slow speed dial on the front. This dial has a click stop at 1/25. I leave this dial set to the click stop unless I specifically wish to set a slower speed. This way I don't get a surprise when selecting 1/25 on the top dial.
