Hi Doug,

My good fortune so far...... no problems wide open! 80-200 zoom, 21-35 zoom, 
35-70 zoom. 50 1.4, the 100 macro 2.8. And the 80 1.4 Summilux! All these 
used wide open, also stopped down to f 8.0! And it was Ok to manually focus 
at f 8.0.

I even had a go with the 280 2.8 wide open then added the 1.4 extender to 
see how it would look, it's kind of awesome! ;-) Because now the 400 becomes 
640 f4.0!  I didn't have time to try the 280 with the 2X attached @ 560 .... 
896mm! :-)  The really big test to come is the 280 + 1.4 extender + 2X 
extender making it an 800 f 8.0 to become a 1280 f 8.0 mounted on the Canon 
20D !!!!!! :-)

If we have some good weather over the next few days I'm going to try the 
"1280 version! ;-) Will let you know how they look.
