I have not made the selection yet, but I have a strong feeling that a couple of shots I took with the 20D and 100mm Apo Macro will be there. I do not have a 100mm Canon lens, but I do have the excellent 85mm 1.8. The images taken with the Leica lens stand out clearly--and that was even the case on a notebook screen, with RAW images. I do not use a tripod. In terms of resolution, I am sure the Canon lens delivers the same as the Leica lens when I shoot hand-held. But there are other attributes to an images: the color rendition, overall clarity, (dare I say it) bokeh, and just the overall look. The images in question elicited a WOW from a friend I was showing them to on the computer, and she had no idea which lens was used for which picture. After shooting digital now for 6 months, I have concluded that great glass remains great glass, whether the photons end up on film or on a sensor.
