Subject: [Leica] LEICAFLEX SL qusetions

            My 2c worth of an educated guess is that the top and bottom
plates go through
            one process whilst the back cover goes through another.

            Another hazardous guess - could it be that the back cover was
OEM supplied?

You're welcome.  It is interesting how they mixed up the finishes on
these SLs isn't it? I wonder why? Things that make you go, hmmmmm.
