Matte papers, particularly with pigment inks, can show marks from very
little abrasion.

It's easy to get around it. There are several sprays (Premier Art) that
you can spray on the surface for protection. I can get that one (you can
order it from www.inksupply.com) but many swear by it. After spraying, you
can actually wipe off the prints with a damp rag if you want. It offers
very good protection.

Some sprays affect the "look" of a print. I don't know about that one (has
to do with the blacks and I forget if they help or hurt). I use a neutral
one (Lasceau). The sprays really really help.
