Well, I have to admit, based on the examples you've shown, that I can
understand the appeal of color at the market. It's beautiful.

If taking a picture of a person in color emphasizes the person's clothes
rather than personality, it seems that emphasizing nature's clothes in
Australia is really something you might want to do. Makes sense.

I remember having something of the same experience with middle eastern
landscapes. When the sky is just a vast monotone ... you either pull out
your red filter (works once, before it gets gimmicky) or go with the flow
and play with the color.

I hope we get to see more shots illustrating your point. I enjoy them.
