Glenn,
thanks for the Hooded Crow.
The East Germans really did stick to the idea of the wall preventing fascist 
insurgents invading their socialist paradise. Of course the biggest joke of 
all 
was calling their country the German DEMOCRATIC Republic. Their elections 
were 
like the choice of colours for the Model-T Ford (that wasn't a big car!!).
They could choose between a rock and a hard place, frying pan or fire, 
whatever 
they voted they got the same government. Hmmm? is that really different from 
the 
rest of the world?
