I suppose it's the effect of drastic underexposure in the blacks. It comes
out very much on a screen, but on a print it's just black. The greys are
full of it on a print. If it's grain or noise ... I don't know. I'd have
to do a wet print, but I expect the visual effect would be the same.

It _is_ great fun. Volume-wise it's very low. The idea is to have low
volume sessions. The sound is all there, but it doesn't blast out your
hearing, even if you're right in front of the PA-system.

You never know what will happen ... other than that between 2pm and 6pm on
Saturdays musicians will turn up and start making music. They sign up on a
playing list, but in the long run, they simply have to go up on stage and
throw someone else off. There's connections for two guitars, a bass, two
mikes for vocals and a spare line for a harmonica.

The rest is up to whoever comes. And quite a few do.

Best,
Daniel
