Subject: [Leica] Upgrading the M6 Classic and Viewfinder

I have a M6 Classic that has been getting too little use, primarily because
of rangefinder patch flare. I've read many posts public and private
indicating that some of the problem may be with my usage or imagination.

I finally decided to have DAG install the (MP?) parts to update the finder
and supposedly eliminate the flare.
The camera was returned today and I am amazed at what I (don't) see. The
flare is gone, period. I'm able to move my eye about the viewfinder without
that silver patch showing up where the rangefinder ought to be.

This is a M6 0.72x camera (not TTL). SN #227xxxx. Early this year I added a
Rapid Grip. I've definitely got a "new" camera here. Now to take pictures.

Thanks DAG for the excellent service, at a reasonable price and fast turn
around. I was ready to dump my M-system (small that it is) but with these
changes the camera now fits my large and slightly arthritic hands much
better, is far easier to use working out of a bag (my preference given my
business travel/photography mix) plus now I can actually use the viewfinder.
For critical framing, I have to hunt slightly for the 35mm frame and the RF
patch no longer silvers-out. If I need to pick it up again it's easy.

Best Regards to all on this group.
Roger
