Martin,
If cost is not a problem, you are going to shoot wide open, and corners
really matter; then the 21 Elmarit for the M is slightly better than the
19 for the R, the 21 for the G, or the 38 on the SWC.  With that said,
there is only a small difference between the three lenses for 35mm, but
the difference is at the far outer zones and especially for the really
fine detail.

You will see more difference by stopping down to F4 than any differences
in the lenses.  I would probably suggest a monopod to hold the best
definition with the least disruption to you or the inhabitants.  You
will also see more detail at slow shutter speeds on the M or G camera
due to lack of mirror slap.

So, go out with the 19 and the G 21, shoot some film, and make your own
determination of what works for you.
