Graham,

Beautiful images, as I always expect when I see your postings.  I am
impressed by the way the tree's roots flare out and grip the earth for a
firm footing.  Too many of the oaks in out part of the Southern US have a
small root structure that allows them to become uprooted by strong winds
when the soil becomes saturated by heavy rains.
