Hi Gene,
CONGRATULATIONS!!! :-) There always has to be a first regardless of size of 
paper or magazine and it's a nice thing to have happen. Now there'll be no 
holding you until the next published picture.:-)

Now make a note of the date and newspaper for posterity simply because it's 
the first, so why not make sure you have it written down someplace you wont 
forget nor throw away. Also important to get a copy of the paper for your 
files.

I know some people think it's silly to bother with this kind of stuff, but 
screw them. Take if from a guy who remembers the first published picture and 
date as well as my birthday, as it's a very special moment to a 
photographer.
