Some more macro shots of mostly very small flowers, all currently
flowering in the back garden.

I'm gradually getting the impression that Yashica managed to produce an
exceptional lens when they built the ML 2,8/55mm macro. I can see no
real difference between it and the Macro-Elmarit 4/100mm when it comes
to getting in really close. The extra stop and the shorter focal length
is also a great help on a Canon 20D.

The Rosemary, Almond Blossom and Muscari flowers were all taken with
the Yashica,

all the others with Leica.

Technical stuff : Canon 20D + Leica and Yashica macro lenses, on camera
flash for a couple of the Rosemary shots, otherwise daylight (partially
diffused through an old white T-shirt, a light tablet (slide viewer)
from below and a blue LED flashlight for some of the highlights on a
couple of shots.

White backgrounds enhanced with PS-Elements 3.0, noise reduction with
Neat Image, sharpening with Focus Magic.

Comments are more than welcome.

cheers
Douglas
