Subject: [Leica] lens recommendations (R)

Hello,

I agree with Nathan on the 100mm APO Macro. The 70-180/2.8
APO-Vario-Elmarit is almost as good as the APO Macro though even if it is
tad chunkier and heftier. I used to use it hand-held to get excellent
results.

Best Regards,
David

In my opinion the best R lens is the 100mm Apo Macro Elmarit. In fact, I
consider it the best lens I have ever owned, R or M (or any brand for
that matter). Whether this is of any relevance to you depends on whether
you have any need for that particular focal length.
