Asunto: Re: [Leica] M gear NYC

My last trip to NYC had 2 M6's +21,35,50,90mm lenses. I used the 35 & 50 90%
of the time. I'm going back in Sept for 2 weddings and I have to bring a
larger arsenal which will be in 2 Pelican cases. For my "tourist" shots, I
plan on just one M6 +35 & 50 lenses.

That was my first trip to NY and was amazed by how many blocks I walked
during the days.

Chris

angles. On a sunny day, the city is highly contrasty with areas very bright
and others in shadow. I use Ilford 3200 at 1000 and develop accordingly. I
want depth of field and a relatively fast shutter.

light. I use a back pack and I walk at least a 100 blocks a day when I'm
there. I generally have two cameras with, a panoramic and an M, just as in
Europe, but I don't use the tri-Elmar in New York. I have only one Leica
lens with--the one on the camera--and it can be either a 28 summicron, a 35
summilux or a 90 Elmar with macro attachment.
