Many thanks to the LUG for the suggestions about acquiring an 8MM projector.
I had quite a few replies, all excellent thoughts.

LUGger Robert Browne pointed me toward a gorgeous Bolex 18-5 on THAT AUCTION
PLACE; I acquired the projector and am enjoying my movies.
