Subject: [Leica] My Summarit has separated

I thought my Summarit 50/1.5 had separated (frosty-looking whitish
fringe around the edge), but it was really bad fungus that had built up
over 30 years of non-use by the previous owner. John Van Stelten was
able to clean it up. I assume that yours happened more "all of a
sudden", eh?

Are there owners of Summarit 50mm f1.5 out there with similar tragic
stories of separated lenses? According to Lager, there are 2 doublets
in the lens.

Any reports of degradation of imagery, or enhancement (even more Leica
glow)?

Regards,

Vick Ko
