Well, I don't have research data.   Just the fit, finish and 
operation of the Voigtlander
equipment I own, which includes a Bessa R, an R2a, and nine different 
lenses, various
viewfinders, lens shades, etc., leads me
to believe that they keep getting better and better all the time, and 
they are innovative.

I was not inferring that the current Voigtlander gear was anything 
more than very good
quality.  I was referring to the potential.    Anyway, the fit and 
finish of most of my
Voigtlander lenses are far and away above any modern AF SLR lens I 
have, including
Nikon ones.  Even Mr. Put-Putz likes some of the CV lenses.
