Seth... A crook is a crook.  You have been lucky, or wise or both in your
selection of vendors.

I have bought a lens that had a broken aperture ring ( jammed) and was told
that since it was a bargain price item, I should have known better....no
refund, and the guy got upset at the negative feedback I left.....

EBay has bargains, but you take a chance.  The LUG has wonderful equipment
in really nice shape, and my preferred place to purchase.

Frank, maybe I've been lucky. I have bought at least five cameras at prices
over $1,000. that I returned because they were not as described. And gotten
full refunds each time. Perhaps because I have asked in each case for
express written (email) descriptions of the qualities that were important to
me.
