I believe that the 1D Mk II and the 1Ds Mk II have the same ISO
ranges, Tina. I'm not sure if the noise level of the images at the
same ISO is the same between the two cameras although I'd bet it is.

It isn't fast enough for real sports shooting (4 fps for the 1Ds and
8.5 fps for the 1D) and the buffer in RAW mode is only 11 shots for
the 1Ds vice 20 for the 1D.

I don't find that I have a limitation on frame rate for any usage except 
sports.
