At least "I" think it works quite well.
Convert to grayscale, reconvert to RGB, add some gaussian noise 
(1-2%)grab an original Sutcliffe, pick a suitable colour and apply it 
with PS option Photo filters and play with the sliders until the spectra 
of the 2 images match.
BTW,Does anyone know if there is an option to replace complete spectra? 
I mean, analyse one picture, get the spectrum/histogram and apply it to 
another.
I only have PS Elements 3.0
