The new one is very cute, but I prefer the first one you posted for the 
more thoughtful expression and the inclusion of the hands.

The new one looks like a nice pose for the camera while the old one looks 
like a very intimate moment caught without awareness of the camera...much 
more emotionally interesting.  To me, anyway.
