My making me the ruler of the queen's navy: I wanted to thank those who
have helped me, guided me etc and give you a taste of what a family is
today on the internet:

Throughout the 5 years of the Family of Man 2 project, we have had a
number of very generous friends, and I want to begin to thank them.
Firstly, to those who are no longer with us, some of whom I met and
some of whom I will still count as friends: in NO order

Sal DiMarco jnr.: Sal was a great help in giving advise. When we ran a
mentor programme, he was one of the first to put his hand up and offer
to help. Sal did not contribute images, but he was certainly part of
the project.

Steve LeHurray: Steve and I had some "discussions" and he was happy to
make comment on the project, not always positive BUT always
constructive, and when he had had his say, he would put it behind him
and work at making images. I do not know now how we will get his
selected images into the exhibition. If anyone can help with this, let
me know.

Dieter W Wehde: died only days before we were due to meet in Hamburg.
Dieter was an inspiration in the early days helping with plans and
contacts. His images were hard edged but soft hearted, and I was
relying on his knowledge and experience to get the exhibit up and
running.

Jim Gatlin: was a strong supporter of the early years of FOM2. His
images of cross cultural influences gave the project depth and I am so
sad not to have his images in the final collection: again if anyone can
help

Our hearts go out to these friends. More to follow.
