It cannot as it is. You can pull up the last ring in the Leica zoom and then 
it should be possible to fit the Leica zoom in the 5D. But I don't wish to 
mutilate my lenses  and, by the way, the pictures taken with Canon wides do 
normally the job for me. If perfection is required Leica R body+ Leica R 
lens + scanning. Or better if absolute perfection required my Linhof 
Supertechnika and some Schneider Kreuznach lenses. Not scannig but very big 
prints.
