Subject: [Leica] Sangers of Britain reported "up for sale"

Sangers, Ltd., Britain's leading importer of major photographic products,
has "gone into administration," Amateur Photographer, the British camera
magazine, reported today [Nov. 10,2005] and has been put up for sale.
British "administration" almost always suggests seriouis financial
difficuties. The company is "continuing to trade," the magazine said, and
Sangers
has been "put up for sale."
It is one more sign that major areas of the photographic industry are
becoming increasingly uncertain. --fyi...bob cole
