The LTM cassette was a tad too long to fit into the M cameras, so a second
"universal" design was produced to fit into both versions of the Leica
line.  It is interesting that the space for the film spool on the M6TTL has
been lengthened by "that silly millimeter" or so, something Leitz
overlooked in 1954.
