>>Honesty: honesty in your vision; honesty in what you tell your subjects
about your project and its purpose; honesty in your approach to your
subject; and honesty in what you present to your viewers."<<<<

Hi B. D.,
One other thing should be kept in mind along with the above........

Trust

To the photojournalist the word "TRUST" is one of the most crucial words in
his vocabulary when dealing with people.

Trust is not placed in the photographer, but in the human being holding the
camera. If he does not regard the people in his pictures as mere subjects or
themes, if he does not intrude and is not tactless or aggressive, if the
lives of others honestly interest him, they will feel this and accept him.
After a time the presence of the camera will be as natural to them as the
spade, scalpel or other tools in they're own hands.

Once Trust is acquired, never forget or misuse it, for once broken, it will
never be returned. All photojournalists and photography become the loser.

"TRUST" a small word but with extremely great meaning when it relates to
dealing with the human subject.
