Opened the pictures before reading your text.  It's "Zwarte Piets" time
again!  (Actually, now that I'm replying, I see he's in the subject line.
Hadn't consciously read that before.)

I really like this one.  Knew exactly what the picture was, even though I
only know about Zarte Piets from your previous years' posts.  Gotta love the
LUG for broadening our horizons...

I like as is.  I think it might make it stronger to crop some off the left,
just leaving a narrow section of bricks and taking away everything that
isn't brick.  The grating--or whatever it is--doesn't add to the picture for
me.  Very graphic and striking.  Really like the foggy effect.
