Sending to a national newspaper might work. Or holding an exposition and inviting the press. I have the impression these things spread slowly but unstoppable, untill it is picked up and 'broadcasted' at an unexpected moment. Very recently here on the LUG we saw a commented slide show of young poets (apologies for forgetting the name of the photographer), which I found a very good format that would also work very well for your series. I don't think it is a complicated or expensive thing to put together, either. Didier Ludwig will surely know more about this kind of format, I think.
