Scott,
CRT stands for cathode ray tube. The apocryphal story is that the U.S.
military commissioned these lenses for use photographing radar and other
CRT's.
The lens is in 39mm LTM, has no focusing helical, stops from 1.2 to 11 and
does it's best in a relatively narrow focusing range. You will find some
very unusual aberrations when used at infinity; sharp center with an
intermediate very poor section with surprisingly good outer zones.

However, in a near life size range, it is very sharp even at F1.2.
