Hi Scott,

Yes, that is motion blur...these are long exposures. Indoors they ranged
from half a minute to half an hour. Outside it was around a second. You
are correct that DOF is very very large with a pinhole...but sharpness is a
fluid concept here when there's no lens involved. Especially because my
unlenses were also uncoated...not very flare-resistant at all.

I put a link to the original design on my page here:
http://www.sandlerphotographs.com/PinholeMatchbox/2005_02_19_PM01_PM02/index.html

The link takes you here:

The Pintoids Sonny pointed out are very cool...I find them extremely
appealing and some of the photos are fantastic, but I was put off by the
single shot nature of those cameras...I wanted the convenience of roll
film. Laziness wins again.

Best,
Aaron

>Ok, I'll admit - I'm super impressed. The technology of recording

>I'm curious, it looks like motion blur in many of these pics. Am I
>right on this? I thought that pinhole cameras has infinite DOF, so
>I don't imagine that this is the source of the blur. Let me know!
