Hi Gary,

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply to your message. Since I don't
fly much any more, I had driven out to California, and the drive back
was interesting in the Chinese sense...

We considered heading up to Ferndale, where friends of ours live
(Michael and Bonnie von Braun), but the generally crappy weather
convinced us to linger around Cambria and the Central Coast this
trip. Since I now live in Colorado (I'm a California Coast native),
the last thing I wanted to see was that four letter white stuff. Of
course, we've had nothing but since returning very late Sunday night.

I am really pleased with the results from the E-500 and especially
the 11-22mm lens. Even though the 20D performs better in low light
and is slightly faster, for the kind of photography I do I think I
like the results from the Oly enough to invest in the system whole
hog. Do you have any experience with the Oly flash units? This is
something Canon does very well. The built-in flash does a
surprisingly good job, but I'd prefer a larger, higher unit for the
grab and grins I have to shoot on a regular basis.

Great shots of the Blue Angels, btw.
