We've gathered the equipment, now we're headed out to the Central African Republic and the backroads of Tanzania to do field work with it (gathering linguistic data). It came recommended by a member of a group working for UNESCO, defining standards for preserving digital archives (music ethnocologists ? ). I'll dig up some more information in a few hours.
