The camera seems to be "half cocked." The shutter button can be pushed, but 
not enough to continue to trip the shutter or something.

There is no film. I finished a roll may be 3 weeks ago on the MP and has 
not used it since as I was using the M7.

Wah.... so much for the mechanical camera being more reliable :-(
