I read the original posting as an upgrade from V1.0 of the Digi-M to V2.0 of 
the DIgi-M.  Not a package to make a traditional M7
into a Digital M.

And for $2K you expect Leica to put in guts?  For $125 all they add is 
dots.......( Somewhat tongue in cheek).

For $2K they add a SECOND red dot.   Cool......

So assuming that the camera is 5K, and an M7 is, what 3K? Are we talking a
$2K upgrade?
