Peter

We'll know it in a few months - what I am concerned, I go the R-D1 route,
have just ordered one. The firmware update is now available and will
transform it in a R-D1s (except the new painting).

On this very interesting article at Luminous Landscape
http://www.luminous-landscape.com/reviews/lenses/rd-1-lens.shtml
about the usage of wide angle lenses on a R-D1 you can see what has to be
done after the exposure. Scroll down and look at the uncorrected and
corrected samples (vignetting issue). I guess Leica will do the same
automatically in-camera but this might slow down the shooting speed.
