On the Panasonic site there's an interesting discussion of this camera
and the Leica/Panasonic lens - although (warning to Frank) it's
marketing so don't get too excited.

Then click on "Developers tell the story" which is below the big
picture of the camera at the top left of the page. Vol. 4 deals with
the Leica D Varia-Elmarit lens.

Pricey bugger though and this doesn't even have a red dot on it . . . yet.
