I think Arbus well preceded the glut of "fine art photographers". I 
really don't know if she labeled herself but I'd label her a 
died-in-the-world documentarian. If, by chance, there is something in 
the water  which might cause self-offing  among "fine art photographers" 
let me know. I'd be happy to chip in for a water hose to LA,NY and Santa Fe.
