Subject: [Leica] OT--Lebanon/ FEMA again?

Bill, Bill, Bill,

How pathetically stupid does an American tourist/college student have to be
to ignore the U.S. government's posted warning to stay out of Lebanon--a
warning that has been in effect at least since January 2005--and get caught
in...oops!...a surprise Middle Eastern skirmish.* And then whine that Uncle
Nanny isn't dropping EVERYTHING and rush to their aid?

Can you say Darwin Award Candidates?

Wait, Bill, I get it! The American tourists in Lebanon are products of the
NEA's unionized, tenured, feel-good, No-Dummy-Left-Ungraduated faux
educational system. Which, unless I miss my guess, is exactly what your
prayed-for new administration will continue to support.

*One might say a New Orleans corollary is how unutterably illogical is it to
live BELOW SEA LEVEL when you are SURROUNDED BY WATER? If you have to live
at negative elevation, do so in Death Valley, where the biggest annoyance
(next to dessication) is a bit more dust on your sensor.
