Subject: [Leica] Epson R2400 printer issue

My Epson 1270 was unreliable. I had such poor experience of Epson service
that I bought a Canon, which has been reliable and good.

It usually takes me 2 or 3 attempts to print a single page; the machine jams
more often than not. Most of the time front-feeding is the best way to avoid
a jam, but not all paper seems to front-feed properly, so I put it in the
roll-paper feed slot, manually, one sheet at a time.

I'm sure this machine is a lemon. It makes great prints when it isn't
jamming or failing to turn on. I had never succeeded in convincing Epson
Customer Support that the constant jamming was a warranty issue, so in a
sense I'm glad that this power-switch thing happened, because now they'll
replace the machine, and the new one just /has/ to work better.
