Follow Doug's advice... get the Novoflex adapter.  It is already modified 
and from a reputable source.

Adorama.... $210  They use code LEMNIK.

You realize that this is scale focusing only?  Guesstimate focusing?

There are some unique Nikon lenses out there that would be suitable... Super 
wides ( think that 6mm of a few weeks ago) that are
quite OK on a RF body....

Also, some telescope stuff ( but I would think a LTM telescope output would 
be as easy to find). And probably a bunch of technical
equipment ( think SEM, weird medical, etc.)
