Many thanks, Dave.  Those ARE interesting images. 

I've found a Linhof at a local shop and will be able to try it out this 
weekend.  I like the idea of a rangefinder, too, since that will free me 
up to take photos "on the fly".  I'm still undecided between a 
press-type camera and a full-fledged view camera, though.  In some ways 
the press camera is more pragmatic, but the view camera appeals to the 
"craftsman" in me.
