All of you speed freaks out there, you can get high speeds. Buy a 1DmkIIn
or a D2Xs and blaze away at 8 to 8.5 frames per second. Or pick up a EOS
1RS or HV and blaze away at 10 frames per second without losing the scene as
the mirror doesn't move. You don't shoot sports with a rangefinder
typically so more than two or three frames per second is just wasting your
time processing images.

Even the sports guys know when to press the shutter. Possibly we could ask
Ted's son if he just turns the drive on and fills a 8GB card and asks may I
have another?

Sorry, I just don't get the need to build a rangefinder for ultrafast drive
speeds. The fleeting smile or passing glance will be between frames even at
8 frames a second. I should know, I have several of the above cameras and
use them when high speed is appropriate.
