Ah, ha, finally we have something to work with. You have a 70-200mm f/2.8L. 
Get your hands on a 5D, click that zoom into the mount and go shoot some 
close-up, portrait-type stuff at f/2.8. Or, shoot close-ups of nearly 
anything, for that matter, just go for bokehesque background.

Why?

The 1.6-crop-factor sensor hobbles this thoroughbred glass. Use it full 
frame and let the big horse run. If you have an 85mm f/1.2L in the stable, 
let it out, too.

If that doesn't relieve your digital malaise, try going superwide on the 5D. 

And all the things you hate about the 10D's electronics and mechanics are 
long gone with the 5D.
