For me the diagonal adds to the sense of motion and speed; more like the
train is going somewhere.

not so sure about this one, I find the diagonal imposed by the slope too

distracting. Damn fine clouds though. Fast shutter speed or was the
Virgin 
express running slowly? ;-)
