The French magazine Le Photographe (No 1644) gives a little insight. No
real test yet, just in a review.

Mind: the French are usually quite critical of Leica, and other brands too.
The reviews by another magazine, 'Chasseur d'Image', are amongst the best.

Le Photographe writes (literally translated): "The M8 does a little less
good than a M6 and a little less good than a big Nikon".
No reason for real concerns I would say. Probably more a auestion of getting
used to the button mechanics. Like switching from a
M6 to a M7.
