These folks http://www.aiconversions.com/ will convert a non-AI lens to 
AI or AIs.  Haven't used them myself.  A google search will reveal 
several sites that show how to do it yourself if you have a mind to.

You can also get a lens "chipped" to allow full metering on all bodies 
but it is not possible with all lenses.
