I think the judges do a great job, too and the comp is a great aspect of the LUG just as is. I know it's early days, too and a time to gauge interest and garner participation. It's all driven by how many LUG folk want to be involved. I had originally thought, oh well, I'll be able to see what the judges thought of particular aspects of an entry and perhaps receive some comments/opinions from LUG members. The option to comment is there, as you set it up, I know, so that will be up to LUG members to make an effort and be involved there, too. Would it be practical to expand the judging criteria to several fields? For example originality, composition, technical quality? Maybe if we could see the star ratings for each, after the contest it might provide some helpful feedback. Just some ideas for discussion.
